So Tugba and I finally got to meet up again! She's been busy traveling a little bit with her older brother who's studying at FSU and her younger brother who just got to the States for summer vacation. She brought her younger brother out to dinner with us and he was very sweet and could speak a great deal of English! We went to Jasmines because I found out neither of them had ever tried sushi! It was a bit of a leap of faith on their part, they are quite adventurous I'm glad to say. Dinner went pretty well, I'm not 100% sure her brother will ever eat sushi again, haha but he did say he enjoyed trying it. We got to talking about their trip to Atlanta and a possible trip to Key West, that I would love to be able to join them for, thats still in the works.
After dinner we walked around downtown and happened upon a small festival going on outside of Po Boys so we listened to some country rock and played 'Cornhole' It was quite a typical Tallahassee party! Afterwards we made it down to Kleman Plaza just in time to catch the sunset. Tugba tried to describe the reddish orange color that the sky had turned, and said there was a really pretty word for it in Turkish, it sounded a bit like 'crimson' in English. It's great showing people around town, there are spots that I had forgotten about in Tallahassee that are really beautiful!
