Kasper - TP 5

Last week, I met with my tutee to review a writing assignment. I asked her to choose a day and write about it. She chose to write about Saturday. She mostly wrote about going to breakfast at Applebees with her husband for fundraiser to benefit a friend's kid baseball team. Her writing is very good for a person that doesn't write in English for work or leisure. Most of her weaknesses are in verb conjugations and article usage. For the most part her writing is comprehensible except for when she tries to use Slovakian phrases that dont translate into English. I corrected the essay and together read over it, I explained to her why I made the changes. I also explained word usage and what words are used in some instances. For next time I asked her to write about what things she values and why.
