Kasper - TP 4

Today I met with Andrea to go over the essay she wrote about the show "Weeds". Overall, the essay was great, it was very logical but she had a bunch of grammar mistakes. I began by telling her that she did a great job and with practice she can get even better. I went over the grammar mistakes with her and let her know that we all make mistakes in the beginning, most of the mistakes were with verb tenses, articles and passive voice. Also, some of the sentences were not ver clear so I asked her to tell me what she was trying to say. Once she did that I asked to write the sentence over. After wards we worked on phrasal verbs, which are verbs plus a preposition or adverb like hand in, eat out. I think these verbs are difficult to learn since the verb almost changes meaning and we use them all the time. We talked more about Slovakian economy and culture. I asked her to write me another essay describing her day on saturday or sunday. I want to see how she uses the phrasal verbs.
