Mario TP3
Jongouk sent me an e-mail asking me if I could help him with his composition homework due on Monday. I decided to correct his essay and give him some feedback on how to improve it. I told him that his ideas are good, but he has to be more coherent. Most of his mistakes were not even due to spelling, but using the wrong word or the wrong tense. Sometimes, teachers get confused when ESL students use the wrong word on their sentences. Many times I had to ask Jongouk what did he mean by this. I did not want to discourage him by being too harsh on the grammar and coherence so I kept it simple and just gave him a few suggestions on how to make it sound better. It must be very difficult for an ESL student to express him/herself freely, especially if they do not use the same alphabet and rubric. I sent Jongouk an e-mail with my corrections and my advice about the essay. I hope he understands my advice and tries to use it in his future essays
