After asking my friend what he would like to do, he told me about reading ‘The Alchemist” in class and being very entertained by the novel. I told him that we could go find the book at a bookstore and that he could continue reading if he would like to go in search of it. I am not a native of Tallahassee but firmly believe that one of the great treasures that this city has is the Goodwill Bookstore and choose to share it with anyone looking for a good book or a good bargain. My friend from Thailand was no exception to this rule. Explaining to him the concept of the Goodwill bookstore was quite interesting and slightly challenging but never the less I think I got the message across. After entering we went from shelf to shelf just looking at the different books, movies, cd’s and trinkets that they have at the store. He seemed just as fascinated, as I was when I first entered the doors there by a great someone who introduced me to the store. Needless to say, it was a great success and a very fun trip to the bookstore.
